The problem with this cartoon is that Mr Sargent is a smart person who hangs with other smart people at the NYTs. He seems to miss the power of the Stupid Vote. Which is something anyone living down here around Dumbutt gets a taste of pretty much anytime anyone opens their mouth.
If Ted Cruz were up for re election today here in Texas, he would get more votes than last time. For there is nothing White Texans like more than someone who will fight for their right to refuse any support for ANYONE THEY DON’T KNOW. So it’s not race or ethnicity, or where someone is from, it’s just that white Texans don’t know any of them.
