Republican voter suppression is UNAMERICAN, Danzigeron June 1, 2012 at 8:11 am
This is easily the most important issue of the year. It is voter suppression not just as it was in Florida in 2000 which ended up handing George W. Bush the presidency, but is now the case in all Republican controlled states, more than half. How do they get away with it? Easy when you look to see who it affects. African Americans, the poor, Hispanics, the old, the infirm and the young. Most all of whom would vote Democratic and who have no voice in our political structure. Thankyou Alito, Roberts, Kennedy, Thomas and Scalia. Those guys understand freedom and liberty is not given freely but bought and sold.
So who is there to fight for this basic right? Al Sharpton, the Black Congressional Caucus, LULAC and a few others who are consistently defined as anti-capitalist American hating socialists. Nogoodnicks!
Australia was just chosen as the happiest nation on Earth. Not only are they socialists with universal health care and roundabouts, but they are also all REQUIRED to vote. They are fined a hundred bucks or so if they fail to vote, unless they have a valid excuse and a note from their mother.
