In memory of the 50 year anniversary of Martin Luther King Jrs I HAVE A DREAM speech the Republican Party is celebrating by making it harder for minorities to vote.
This weekend we found General Colin Powell not only scolding fellow Republicans for suppressing the vote, but he also questioned the Zimmerman verdict. Makes me wonder how any black person could be a Republican. I guess for the wealthy, their wallet transcends all.
Speaking of which. I am seeing too many white people of all persuasions say the photo ID is neither racist or a bad idea. That just goes to show just how far removed so many white people are from the reality of race and poverty.
The good news is Colin Powell is predicting that this play by the GOP will create a backlash not only in the upcoming elections, but in the long run as well.
