Republicans & insurance companies proudly kill the children

Today should be a celebration of America joining the civilization world by making it illegal to refuse to insure children with pre existing conditions.  But no, instead we celebrate a Republican win in their primary political quest to repeal health care reform next year after they take Congress.  The GOP along with three major insurance companies have found a way around helping sick and dying kids, the GOP boasts they have won the first round in kid killin’!

The insurers have won this round by playing the same game Republicans so loudly decry is the ruination of your criminal court system – all those economically disadvantaged and ethnically challenged OTHER PEOPLE who manage to keep out of jail on "a liberal technicality." Technicalities like facts are Liberal things. [We have the highest percentage of people in prison in the world] The Kick! Law and Order Pages.

Yep, United Healthcare, Aetna Inc and Cigna announced within hours of the new civilizing law taking effect that they would no longer offer individual insurance policies to. In Texas alone that is 263,000 kids. New healthcare law kicks in today – Insurers pulling the plug on coverage for thousands of Texas children

So why would these large insurance companies so boldly brag about their desire to hurt sick and dying children? With the blessings of not only the Republican Party, but with that branch of Christianity that Fox News Mike Huckabee represents which says covering pre existing conditions is like getting home insurance after your house burns down. Or as Christ taught, children are property to be used as parents see fit. And priests…

Why is refusing to insure kids with cerebral palsy, cancer and HIV – many of whom will die for lack of affordable insurance their parents can pay – so important to Republicans? And to brag about it? What is it that makes throwing sick children to the wolves a GOOD thing rather than a BAD thing?  What makes it a RIGHT thing rather than a WRONG thing? What is this contract between corporations, religion and a constant state of military war called? What is the name of this conservative darkness of heart prone to bigotry and violence? This melding of government, religion and corporations? Why hasn’t anyone come up with a name for it? Oh, I remember now, Benito Rising.

And you know, some may call this "a reach". But it is child’s play, it is a knat on a nanonit compared to "the reaches" taken by talk Radio and Fox News literally thousands of times a day. ADAF (an dats a fact)
