It is not just the abortion issue in which Republicans wallow in their lies and anti-science silliness. It also permeates our schools in denying evolution and promoting Intelligent Design and Creationism. The celebration of anti science in denying global warming owns the GOP. In fact Texas Republican congressman Lamar Smith is pushing a bill through congress to have all scientific findings first go through him so he can decide if it passes Christian criteria to be released to Congress. North Carolina passed a bill to not allow scientists to measure sea levels. Much like all the bills Republicans passed not allowing the CDC and hospitals to collect data on guns. Science is their enemy.
The Republican Party is not just waging a war on African Americans, Hispanics, the poor, Women and gays, but with a War on Science as well.
Why do about half of Americans suck up to this crap? Mostly because they are white people who can’t stand anyone smarter than they are.
