Resist: Impeach Trump Now Petition, D C Douglas

Resist: Impeach Trump Now Petition, D C DouglasThe petition to impeach President Donald Trump for obstruction of justice in firing FBI director James Comey because he said, “this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made up story.”

Impeach Trump Now

But no matter, The Donald is still flying high with the Republicans and the Republican base who blame it all on the messenger. The biggest defense of the Orange Buffoon is that there is no crime involved as there was in Watergate. Treason is no longer a crime I guess. Remember this one?

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing.” Candidate Donald Trump

Correction: Only 29% of Americans approve to Trump firing Comey, it was not 29% overall approval rating for Trump who now is somewhere between 36% and 39%.

Review: Margaret Atwood’s Handmaid’s Tale on Hulu

Is impeachment the answer?

The HULU series The Handmaid’s Tale has come upon us at just the right time for us all to think twice about impeaching President Trump, leaving us with an Evangelical Fundamentalist Right-wing theocratic bigot Mike Pence who is the unmentioned impetus in this 2017 updated version of Margret Atwood’s 1985 novel. Which is now outselling 1984 I hear.

The story is not about Sharia Law but Christian Law replacing The Constitution and the effect it has on women and gays, ie, public rape and public hangings. But it’s okay! They pray for them while raping and hanging them. Oh and as we saw this week in episode #5, cutting out the clitoris of any woman suspected of enjoying sex.

It can’t happen here!

Just like Donald Trump becoming president cannot happen here.

The object here should be to get rid of Mike Pence first. He would have to quit or be impeached by Congress, as was the case for Spiro Agnew.  They had to get rid of him before impeaching Nixon. So Congress went after him until they found enough fraud to get him to resign, then came the impeachment threat to Nixon.

Then The Donald nominates a new VP and both the House and Senate have to vote him in. Majority? Super majority? It doesn’t say.
