Rodrigo Duterte is likely to win the presidential election in the Philippines today, and John Oliver warns that if a horrible murdering pig like Duterte can win, we could very well wake up to see him shaking the racoon paw-sized hand of our own national presidential nightmare, on a state visit next year.
After all, Duterte ‘tells it like it is.’ Asked about the rape and murder of an Australian missionary in 1989, in Davao City where he is mayor, Duterte said he was angry. “She was so beautiful – I think the mayor should have gone first, what a waste.”
Duterte assured reporters that he meant exactly what he said, and that he was not joking.
He”tells it like it is” and tells people exactly what he’s thinking, although we’d prefer never to have heard it. This is exactly the characteristic so many Americans find laudable in Trump. Oh, and forget a chicken in every pot. This popular fiend promises to execute five people per week, and install hot and cold running death squads.
John Oliver says of Trump: “This sentient circus peanut holds the future of a major political party in his tiny little racoon paw- size hands.”
To brag this much, Duterte must have hands like a gerbil.
