Mitt Romney addressing his Republican supporters confided, “Had I been born of Mexican parents I’d have a better shot at winning this.”
Poor Mitt Romney.  It’s just not fair that Mitt was born a white, wealthy and privileged American! That’s a tough break.  Rosie Perez seemingly sympathizes with Romney, and also brings him a news flash. Being a Latino alone won’t help.  If Romney believes that coming from a minority group will whisk him into the Casa Blanca, Perez suggests a way that Romney might triple his influence – but he’d have to want it very badly indeed. My guess is that he’d play the hand he was dealt, but see what you think.

Perez concludes: “Being Latino wouldn’t win you the election.  But saying jokingly that you wish you were might actually lose it for you.”
