After some time in the black area of Birmingham, Roy Wood Jr takes the chance of a black man going rural in Alabama. He gets a lead from his friend in Birmingham that there is a white environmentalist living in the woods he could hook up without fear.
And yes indeed he finds the smartest white guy in Alabama but…
So all in all the four days the Daily Show correspondents went to Alabama returned with reports that were quite flattering to Alabama. For after all, the whole point of the endeavor was to get Alabama to watch the Daily Show.
And hey of the five million people in Alabama – the worst most racist ignorant state in America – the team found almost a dozen nice people!
