Even on Christmas day, 25 people were shot to death, including two children under 12. This does not include suicides and only gun homicides found in news stories. I played in the database and could not find one from Houston on any day since Newtown. We shoot to death about one a day here in Houston. So you can be sure these numbers are very under reported. Since Newtown over 400 homicides, counting unreported gun deaths or suicides that would be well over 1000. It is rather surprising in that there are 9 nations that beat us, mostly in Central America, and a few more Third World nations that are close behind. But when you look at Europe and other First World nations it is often 10 times less, and in many like Great Britain, it is 40 times less. 40 times less!
