Sarah Palin causes some to ALMOST wet their pants at Fort Hood Texas

"She’s like me. She’s got a heart and a soul. I am so happy I almost wet my pants. She will be the next President of the United States!" Theresa Cockran

Not to be out done by Theresa, Rebecca Dalberg – who arrived 11 hours before the event and spent $84 on the four copies of the book she was allowed to have autographed – got her 2 airheadcents worth in. Palin gets a hero’s welcome at Fort Hood

"She’s human. She listens to people. She doesn’t think that she’s better than anyone. She’s all-American. That’s Mom, apple pie and John Wayne. She doesn’t make mistakes. She doesn’t do wrong." Rebecca Dalberg said.

These two women sure make that quote scrolling across the top of the page here more omnipotent than I had imagined when I wrote it. Stupid is as Stupid does.

A couple things on this.

John Wayne was the only Hollywood actor of the time to loudly refuse to participate in World War II because it would interfere with his making money as an up and coming star. John Wayne was a cowardly yellow Chickenhawk and that is a fact.

Sarah Palin doesn’t make mistakes? Gosh, her book overflows with them as do her interviews and most every action she ever took. Earth to Rebecca! BTW, Sarah’s answer to most every question put to her is "We need to reduce taxes and get the government out of the regulation business. You Betcha!" How profound! How original!

But the coup de grace here is something I have lonesomely been harping on for a generation. "She doesn’t think that she’s better than anyone" is the key to the politics of a generation.

We so often ask WHY so many working class Americans will pull that straight GOP ticket in the voting booths, going against their own self interest in most everything other than dispensing intolerance and bigotry. Whether we call them the Moral Majority, Reagan Democrats, REAL Americans, Red State Americans, Working Class Republicans, Tea Bagging Numbnuts or what have you, it is this very statement that explains it all.

Brought on mostly by what was coined as POLITICAL CORRECTNESS in the 1980s, this attitude has permeated our culture to such an extent that what stupid people hate the most in this world is smart people. Especially if those smart people are thinner and better looking than they are. Smart people, Smart people, Smart people got no reason to live.

And lastly, this story tells of some $10,000 from this Palin Book signing sales going to benefit the families of the Ft Hood Fallen.

Why do we need charity to help these Military service members, their families and Military service support workers? One would think a government that benefits from these people risking their lives for us would take care of them. But no, and the Rebeccas and the Theresas of Texas will vote for the party that screws them over at every opportunity. Because most of all they do not want people smarter than they are telling them what to do. And that is the attraction of Sarah Palin – who is no smarter than anyone. And proves it everyday.
