Secret Life of Pets, Pettiness Reveiw

I took a four year old to this movie and we both laughed through the entire thing, one of the great animated movies that work for both kids and adults. The humor is slapstick and relentless.  It is warm and cute with lots of action. I thought it was a good well received movie and recommended it to others with kids. Better than Frozen which is very very hard for an adult male to sit through. “UP” was also an animated fantasy about dogs, a great movie, but too little on the kids side and too much on the adult side. Nemo, Dory, Minions, Despicable and Moana were just right.

The pettiness of the criticism of this movie astounds me. That this animated fantasy for children did not properly reflect the realities of New York City, the people living there, the streets and  on and on. MY GOD MAN IT’S A CHILDREN’S ANIMATED FANTASY MOVIE WHERE ANIMALS TALK.

But the kicker as to why I am bothering with this article are the YOUTUBE stats.

The pettiness of our lives are becoming almost as bad as the pettiness of our political correctness which just put a madman in the White House.

And speaking of pettiness, don’t get me started on YELP! The fries were too salty! Don’t go there! Put them out of business!

But you see the even larger problem?

I am out of touch.

And to make matters worse, though I do have a smart phone, I have yet to allow it to become physically attached to me.

I don’t care where you are, or where you been, or what you had for lunch or what’s up. Sorry.
