With Mother’s Day coming up, Jimmy Kimmel wonders if moms might have done things in their lives that would shock their children? It seems that a lot of people have a weird, unrealistic view of their mother – as if she’s not human. Some feel they were conceived of a virgin and found beneath a cabbage. Still others operate under the delusion that their mothers were never young…And if they were, they lived with cloistered nuns. Even with photographic evidence before them, many can never fathom that their mothers were once just as young as they are now. Stop and think, kids. Why else would your curfew be so strict, hey?!
The fact of the matter is moms are just people and they do all manner of un-motherly things. Some are just better than others at hiding behind a mom facade that kids don’t really want to see through anyway. For instance, take the lady pictured. While she was single, she had a lot of ‘fun!’ <insert huge grin here> Butchers and bakers and candlestick makers, she rocked ’em all! If you can get mom talking, you might learn a lot of things that will surprise you. To prove it we went out onto Hollywood Blvd and asked moms to tell us one shocking thing about them that their kids didn’t know. On second thought…Maybe the kids ‘can’t handle the truth.’
