SNL: Betty White monologue may 8, 2010

I think this thing about Facebook can be understood in the context of one of the songs some rapper did on the show last night.

Sometime back in the early ’70s I heard a song by Bob Dylan, the hook went like this: "And may you stay… Forever young." At the time I thought it perhaps the best hook ever written.

Last night these rappers – whose "music" is proudly all stolen, also stole the lyrics from Dylan and changed it ever so slightly to reflect today’s world: And "I" want to stay…. Forever Young.

Betty White is terrific! It pains me to see so-called rap artists blatantly stealing the melodies and/or lyrics from music that their ignorant fans have never heard, and probably believe was created by the no-talent poseurs.
