This generation has witnessed one of the biggest fastest cultural changes in history, gay rights and gay marriage.
At the same time we see Russia, much of Africa and of course the religious theocracies going the opposite direction. The catalyst for our success was opening the closet door. Or more specifically the bravery of so many gay men and women to take that chance of stepping out of it. That process is what has caused the majority of us – outside rural, religious and Southern enclaves – to get to know gay men and women, to become friends and family and to take notice of how little different they are than the rest of us.
While In Russia and most of Africa coming out of the closet still means getting beat up, thrown in jail, and a growing body of law the execution of homosexuals. That growing body of law in Africa is being sponsored by AMERICAN CHRISTIAN EVANGELICALS. Who need a good ass kicking.
We are now witnessing the same fast and furious change with legalized marijuana. Again because so many of us know and love so many who use it.
