I had forgotten all about Match.com what with The Bible series being sponsored by Christian Mingle. This stuff works.
A quick story… Back in 1991, well before the web, I was arguing politics in what we called then BBS’s and USENET. At that time all this was run by individuals who paid for an extra phone line to run BBS software that was able to take it locally and shove it out to other BBSs around America. It was a fascist system. One person decided your fate, the BBS owner called the SYSOP. At that time political discourse was about 100 to 1 conservative to liberal, and many BBS owners would ban and delete liberals on the logic as most people were conservative and they didn’t like arguing, in political debate areas mind you. But I few of us persisted.
Hemmingway, I had one Right-wing dolly from Virginia get so upset with me, that to get me banned from the system, she not only flew to Kentucky to sleep with the BBS SYSOP, but married him on the spot. The system received a “Bwhahaha you are now OFFICIALLY banned!” typed from as she said, her nuptial bed with her new hubby. Really. Hate runs deep.
