Even as a big NFL fan, or more specifically a Green Bay Packer fan, I have a feeling this game may go the way of boxing.
We made a lot of fun of ABC NFL announcer Howard Cosell back in the day, but his friendship with Mohammad Ali and seeing the damage done, did more to put professional boxing in the back seat than anyone. He also spoke out against the harm concussions were causing NFL players 20 years ago.
But what about hockey? Where they promote bare knuckle brawling. And cage kick boxing? And beating up women and children?
Speaking of beheadings, did you hear that the Muslim Taliban, who will soon be in charge of Afghanistan again, beheaded 16 people a few days ago. There was a beheading in Algeria, a beheading in Oklhoma and coolers full of severed heads in Mexico.
Adding that all up I have to give you the sad news that Catholics are winning the beheading game. Which we don’t talk about for some reason or other. Wait! This just in! I am told the Catholics do the beheading after they murder the victims which makes it okay. I would suppose that comes from the old saying, don’t get any onya.
