Have you heard about the big Brouhaha over the new Star Wars trailer rendition of the light saber? OMG, it has light saber juice coming out the ends of the sword hilt! Someone could get seriously hurt. Star War fans are upset. Star Trek fans, Tolkien fans and Christians are always upset about something or other. It’s their nature.
But in defense of religion I will contend that the so called “spiritual” area of it is real. Whether it’s a Star Wars fan getting a taste of the new Star Wars movie in a trailer, making that hard sell, the guy with the bottle of Jack and a bump up front during GIMMIE SHELTER by the Rolling Stones, intercepting the pass in the end zone, or Henrietta seeing stars at the foot of a Jimmy Swaggart hands on healing. It’s all the same thing. That old tingler in the torso is real.
Whatever gets you through the night should never be forced upon anyone else, or their children.
