Where to begin with this one? Gosh… I suppose we should take it in order.
So open carry Arizona gun enthusiast Peter Steinmetz took his AR15 to the airport for the second time just to get a cup of coffee. The first time he wandered around a crowded airport with a military assault weapon was no problem, after all, it’s a good idea to have as many people as possible walking around airports with semi automatic weapons at the ready. But this time he took it off his shoulder and some PC woman with a couple kids called the police. Peter Steinmetz says he does this as a political act.
Steinmetz spent the night in jail and now his job as a medical technician at the local Hospital is being reviewed. Keep in mind this is Sheriff Joe Apario’s Maricopa County so if he loses his hospital job he can always join the Sheriff’s Department.
“I believe I have now made the important point that peaceful and responsible people can safely be trusted to handle firearms — even AR-15s, even at the airport. There is never anything to fear from peaceful, responsible gun owners.” Peter Steinmetz after his arrest.
The problem with that is just about every character that has gone off at a school, workplace, restaurant or theater WAS a peaceful, responsible gun owner up to that point. Man: Bringing AR-15 to Ariz. airport ‘entirely political’
Whenever you see one of these so called people with a gun in public call the police. Every single time. Act as if they were black guys with a gun. Or wore a turban. For it only takes one second for a peaceful responsible gun owner to become a mass murderer.
In fact if African Americans and Arab Americans started carrying assault rifles around we would see this silliness end quickly. But both African Americans and Arab Americans know that making that point would also get them shot on sight.
As to the open carry children’s book, MY PARENTS OPEN CARRY, what is there to say? Hmmm…. I have it! I need to write a children’s book… MY PARENTS ARE STONERS. Much funnier and better for kids that shooting the crap of stuff.
Let me ask you, who would you be more afraid of, parents carrying a Glock and an AR15 or parents passing a doobie around? And which would be better for kids to take note of. Ready to kill or ready to watch FAMILY GUY? And which is legal and which is illegal?
Or how about a children’s book called GUNS! WHY YOU CAN’T EVER GO OUT ALONE IN AMERICA.
