Stephen Colbert on June Weddings and Supreme Court Judges

Stephen Colbert on June Weddings and Cranky Supreme Court Judges Who Voted Against Marriage Equality

Stephen Colbert’s new show will contain plenty of political humor if his scathing send-up of the four dissenting judges in the landmark same sex marriage vote is any indication.

Colbert offers both congratulations and condolences in the wake of the landmark Supreme Court decision.  Colbert quipped; ” if you’re a homosexual living in North Dakota, all your problems are solved!”  Stephen offered condolences for gays with commitment issues, who will now have some explainin’ to do.

Of course, the most unhappy people may be the four judges who voted against marriage equality. The four nay votes came from  Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Clarence Thomas, Justice Samuel Alito and Justice Antonin Scalia whom Colbert parodies to a ‘T’ as the Frankenstein monster, ARGH, GAY BAD!”

Scalia expressed the view  that marriage has little to do with freedom of expression; explaining that the very opposite of free expression is necessary in such a relationship.  We now have a little glimpse into the Scalia household, which may be turning frosty right about now.
