George Will came into our lives mainly because he was personal friends with Nancy Reagan. He is also a big baseball fan. Since Obama he has succumbed to the anger generated by the fall of the GOP and his way of thinking so suddenly out of vogue.
As I read George Will’s Demon Demin column last week I recalled a big double two parter he wrote for the editorial back page of NEWSWEEK a few years ago. A serious article saying it would be best if we all carried loaded assualt rifles with us. Sometimes George sleeps over at the Cato Institute… And gets STDs…
Hemmingway… it created a picture in my mind of a nation of wussies in bow ties, slacks, and ammo bandoleers… AK 47s shouldered as they jocky for position at a Starbuck’s flatware sale.
