The argument is not that race is a factor in the Republican Hate-Obama campaign, but how much of a factor. I suppose to be fair I must include Libertarians in that. Republican and Libertarian Hate-Obama campaign.
As a Southerner I can assure you that race is the driving force not only in Jimmy Carter’s Georgia experience, but here in Dumbutt, Texas as well. The only people who will deny that reality are those who suffer the racism themselves or those who understand the political backlash unleashed by pointing that finger.
Since coming to terms with this when the Clintons not only failed in their try at reforming health care 15 years ago, but because of trying also lost 42 seats in congress giving the nation over to the likes of Newt Gingrich, Dick Armey (the power behind the Tea Baggers) and Dancing Fool Tom DeLay. [Oh and Trent Lott, who lost his Senate seniority for his blatant racial swill that we would have been a lot better off had we never integrated the South.] The United States is the only civilized nation without any national health care plan BECAUSE the majority of Americans do not want their precious tax money going to people less white than they are. I have been knocking my head against the wall on that for 15 years now, and finally just today Stephen Colbert brought this to the attention of the world.
This weeks Republican talking point by Republican leaders Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck – among others on AM radio and Fox News – is that a public option in health care is nothing more than reparations for Negroes – the lost 40 acres and a mule. There you have it! The proof in the pudding. The warning to White Americans that all BIG GOVERNMENT is just a giveaway to the likes of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Spike Lee, the Black Panthers, the Cripps, the Bloods and ACORN.
So now that it is out in the open, the real reason for not having any real health care reform will not help in changing anything. Knowing the truth will not cause the truth to be voiced – because like gun control – it will only mean more votes for more Republican and Democrats losing the House, the Senate and the next presidential election to the Party of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin.
