Utah Earth Day celebrated by asking kids where they would be without gas, oil and mining, is like having kids dress up as John Wilkes Booth for President’s Day.
So is Utah the most conservative state? NO! It’s Alabama. Next is a three way tie of Wyoming, North Dakota, and Mississippi. Utah is at number five followed by Oklahoma at number six.
A few interesting points… No one lives in Wyoming or North Dakota. Oklahoma was the only state where every single county voted Republican, 100% red. And here’s one to squeeze your brain. The state that had the most movement from conservative to liberal between 2008 and 2012 is Mississippi! Mississippi has the most African Americans at 37%. I would guess this change is because they are coming out to vote more than before. Or maybe ALLOWED to come out and vote more than before is more accurate.
