Not even Newt is under the delusion that he’s still in the race. That said, it may seem odd that he is investing in campaign ads at this late date, but the reasons will become crystal clear very soon.
Obviously he’s not going to spend the family fortune on the ‘campaign debt’ he’s run up, and knows that his best weapon to collect that $4.5 million is smack dab in the middle of his face.
