Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is reaching across the aisle in behalf of thousands of military men and women who quietly endure rape and sexual misconduct which is “pervasive” in our military. If you require proof that these crimes are about power – not sex, here’s yer sign.
Without changes in the way these crimes are handled, victims will continue to suffer in silence or suffer retaliation. Senator Gillibrand is determined to pass the”rare, majestic bi-partisan bill” that you see loping through the woods. MJIA is long overdue. To make matters oddly worse – or better, two primary advocates of the bill are Paul Ryan and Ted Cruz.
The victims will continue to have no legal recourse unless we contact the nine DEMOCRATS who voted NAY last time, and tell them- (gulp) that Ted Cruz is right!
