Supreme Court no limits on money to political parties

Supreme Court no limits on the political money

In an another all Republican 5 to 4 decision from the Supreme Court – which follows their Republican 5 to 4 Citizen’s United decision – they change the laws to pour even more billionaire money into elections. Their argument is that it will give some degree of economic political parity back to the political parties in lieu of unrestricted billionaire cash flowing into uncontrollable SUPER PACS.

I guess that is what the old cliche about fighting fire with fire is all about.

You may have noticed that Republicans do not use the term “democracy” here at home. Sure they use it abroad as an excuse to bomb the crap out of people far away, but it is not a concept they promote here at home.

The Senate of course, which is central to The Constitution is about as Democratic as Saudi Arabia. Then there is who every Republican held state is doing all they can to make voting harder, the gerrymandering [candidates picking the voters rather than the voters picking the candidates], and giving the 1% magnitudes more political power than the rest of us.

28th Amendment to the US Constitution

No person, corporation, business or organization shall give more than $100 to any candidate, party or PAC under penalty of law. Punishment not to exceed life in prison – or execution in the more Christian states.

There ya go, democracy back on track.
