Former Miss San Antonio, Domonique Ramirez has lost her sparkling crown, and she’s going to court to convince a jury to give it back! In Texas and many southern states, winning tiaras is the equivalent of being a football star, from the cradle onward belles perfect their skills and starve in an effort to add to their crown collection. In other words, beauty is serious business.
The official pageant story is that Ramirez was dethroned due to tardiness and failure to appear at events. Ramirez has a different story. She claims officials told her to get off the tacos and the chips in preparation for the Miss Texas pageant. As a whopping size 2, one can certainly understand that this is not the plus-sized model contest and she had best replace food with celery sticks at the most – what was she thinking?
