Republicans have been trying to pry unions out of existence and obviously are gaining ground. In a cash strapped economy, workers who are told that they don’t ‘need’ union benefits walk a tight wire. It’s obvious that if unionizing is attempted, those at the forefront will become suddenly unemployed. If they allow falsehoods and mistreatment to prevail, the hard work of those who forged the union movement is trampled, and so is their right to expect to be treated decently and rewarded fairly.
