Let me lure you in with a few highlights Taibbi collected from three recent trips to Kentucky to attend Tea Party, Palin and Rand Paul rallies.
1 in 3 attendees either sat in a medical scooter, motorized wheelchair or had a bottle of oxygen up their nose.
100% were White.
The predominate theme is their hate and anger directed at an evil government that hands out money, most of which goes to these very people.
Anger, bigotry and religious intolerance override reason, logic and what little good will is left in this free market ideology of ours. Of course they see themselves as worthy of the majority of handouts while OTHERS are not. Who are these OTHERS? Who are these ugly old white bigots taking the government back from?
The answer is only partly about their hatred of people less white, less heterosexual and who have more funny sounding names than they do. The larger enemy are the white unAmericans (You) who are giving away the store to these OTHERS because you wish to treat them no different than you want to treat all these nasty old white farts.
