Tea Party Joe Walsh Tells “slut” Sandra Fluke to get a job, Vote Tammy Duckworth

Tea Party Joe Walsh is a pig

There are three big issues in all this.

First off, the text accompanying this video from Mediate

“So at the Democratic Convention Wednesday night their first prime time speaker was Sandra Fluke, whatever her name is. Think about this, a 31-32 year old law student who has been a student for life, who gets up there in front of a national audience and tells the American people, ‘I want America to pay for my contraceptives.’ You’re kidding me. Go get a job. Go get a job, Sandra Fluke.” After a round of applause, Walsh continued…

Round of Applause? Of the 5 women in the video one clapped twice, and three clapped not at all. Take Down Joe Walsh website

Next we have insight into what today’s politics are all about. A Republican man railing against a woman advocate who wants to include birth control as part of health care insurance.  Not only an idea that can cheaply benefit all of us, but will reduce abortions!  Gosh…

A Republican man furthering the attack on a single woman that Rush Limbaugh famously called a slut.  And even that is not the bottom line. After graduating from Cornell University in 2003, Sandra Fluke has not only held 4 jobs but also managed to graduate from Law School. But you see, like Barack Obama, her jobs were poorly paid and involve her concern FOR OTHERS.  So those kinds of jobs only count as hilarious demeaning laugh lines in the Republican brain. Adding to that he is unable to even fathom that someone could stand up and speak for all women or poor women or minority women, so must only be speaking for herself wanting to screw YOU out of $9  month. It is the dark soul of the GOP made public PROUDLY.

And lastly the good news. This ugly disgusting incumbent excuse for a human being is trailing veteran, and war hero Tammy Duckworth by 9 points BEFORE the convention.  Hopefully this is trending to all Tea Party House members making it possible to take it back. And you know, if everyone who went out to vote in 2008 did so this coming November we could win the House back. DONT VOTE ALONE.

Thank you for your kind words Ms. ‘Cat.

I’m glad I could help redefine the issue. Fox “News” et al have managed to win several arguments by defining the terms. “Death Taxes” comes to mind People oppose “Death Taxes” but might favor “Inheritance Taxes”

    Lt.,

    HopeyChangey walked right into it.

Ms. Fluke does not want taxpayers to pay for condoms. She wants her health insurance to be allowed to cover her medical appointments rather than having her College Administration tell her that it’s against their religion. (& thus save the money for such coverage)

Condoms are cheap but birth control pills require a prescription & thus require Doctor’s visits & resulting cost.

Ms. Fluke should not have to “…on pain of witholding sex. Works every time.” What Ms. Fluke & her partner do privately is strictly up to them (In my opinion as long as it does not involve the shedding of human blood). By asserting so “not…” is allowing the College Administration to dictate the time & nature of her actions.

It’s an issue of framing the question as Ms. ‘Cat & I have discussed before.

I submit that allowing “not…” & the Republicans to frame this as a religious freedom question puts us on the losing side of the argument. Instread the question is to what extent can an employer force his religious practices on his employees. The fact that I work at a Kosher Deli does not mean that I can’t have eggs & bacon for breakfast.

It’s a very good thing that Hopey Changey opened this up so that you could call attention to the real issues db. As time goes on, the spin doctors tend to distract us from the actual events and the important facts. We’re in trouble whenever this happens, and it’s insidious In this case, it’s diminished into a simple choice of birth control in the minds of some people. Thanks again for clarifying the issue so nicely db.

Because it’s not JUST ABOUT birth control! The Republican/Romney agenda is to cut all aid to ALL Planned Parenthood. clinics They rally the troops by falsely painting Planned Parenthood as an abortion mill and birth control outlet – although those services are legal and needed! Planned Parenthood provides cancer screening, well-woman health services, and pregnancy care to many, many uninsured women. Lastly, not all men agree with you that condoms are the ideal birth control method – obviously.

Educate me, Mr. Jite. Condoms are cheap. So why would Ms. Fluke want to require tax dollars to purchase them for herself or any woman? Especially since there is a much better way. That is, just require her partner to buy them on pain of witholding sex. Works every time.
