The real Tea Party (with signs – and costumes) is standing united against the stodgy Glenn Beck GOP. Glenn Beck – who has worn many costumes in his day, and is crazier than an outhouse rat, wants the Tea Party to tone it down. Lose the costumes, drop the signs says Beck – celebrated icon of dignity and presumed spokesman for the GOP.
Here’s a newsflash Mr. Beck. You were and are still considered to be fringe GOP, and true TP’ers aren’t taking their marching orders from you! I quote: “GOP, you signed up for this freaky ride there’s no getting off now. We’re gonna wear this crap till November.” .Young and old, the costumes, pageantry and proudly misspelled signs are what drew them to your ranks! (Is it just me or can you hear ‘Battle Hymn of the Republic’ playing?)
Let this be a lesson. Have you ever wanted something so badly that you could think of little else? Chances are,while you were thinking of little else, you weren’t considering the ramifications of getting that coveted thing. The looney ranks of the Tea Party isn’t the problem with the GOP, they’re only a symptom. Putting them all in three-piece suits won’t cure.the rot at the core of the GOP.
Congratulations GOP – it’s a TeaParty! Now they’re fighting *your* tyranny! They’re kinda cute, in a grimy, fuzzy way. At least let ’em have some fun.
