Texas Faith Network addresses the Texas Taliban School Board

"There are Muslim students who even feel they have to change their name. They have to create some other ethnicity, so that their classmates don’t say, ‘Oh, here comes Osama,’ or ‘Watch out, he’s got a bomb.’" Inmam Islam Mossaad said of what it is ALREADY like for Muslim Students in Texas Schools.

The Texas Taliban or as some call it, the State Board of Education is on the march once again! Randy Rives, Republican member from West Texas has authored an anti-Islam proclamation which once SBOE leader Don McLeroy is helping sponsor. They both want to leave their own personal crap stains on Texas schools before they leave the Board. Both lost their Republican primary bids to other Evangelical Christian Creationists who are not quite as intrinsically disgusting as these two clowns.

In this case the 7 Republican creationists are backing a resolution to "fend off pro-Islamic and anti-Christian bias that has tainted history and social studies textbooks!" Year right…

Just think about that for a minute. Who could possibly believe that Texas, or American textbooks for that matter, have an anti-Christian pro Islamic taint in them? I will tell you who. Those whose entire world view comes only from Fox News and talk radio, is who. [This is mostly about how history does not treats the Crusades a benign diplomatic process] If ever there was a straw man argument this is it.  An invention for the sole purpose of instilling Christian hatred, Christian intolerance and above all, Christian ignorance upon all Texas children. ALL? Yes ALL, the home schoolers already get a daily dose of that crap.

So 100 church leaders from the Texas Faith Network – which includes Baptists, Methodists, Jews, Muslims, Catholics et al – held a news conference to say this made up crap does not exist is "preposterous".
