Texas Tea Party don’t want a Jew in the House

This is happening just down the street from me. As you can see, they do save money and recycle their signs! Some erroneously believe that because NASA and its contractors are the top employer in the area it would be somewhat more liberal than the rest of Texas. WRONG! Tom DeLay was our Congressman for 20 years and though we did have a black family live here a while ago I can no longer remember their name. Protesters pay visit to Rep. Larry Taylor

I went to the Tea party rally here in Clear Lake Park last Spring. I found the reports that there are only a few percentage of blacks and Hispanics attending these things to be wrong, at the Tea Party rally I attended there were 0% Blacks or Hispanics. None, Zip, Naught, Nada, Nil.

The parking lot overflowed with new model extended cab trucks and gigantic SUVs. I could find not one vehicle as crummy as mine. Participants were angry middle aged fatties holding disgusting signs and wearing T shirts with ugly words splashed all over them. Can I say fatties? Yes, I was just given permission.

The "Remove Joe Straus as Speaker of the House" issue is not just big here in my all white community but throughout all of Texas, let me tell you.

On the surface the issue is that Republican Joe Straus is a RHINO, not conservative enough to be the Republican Speaker of the Texas House. Straus has been a life long conservative Republican working for Ronald Reagan and part of the George W. Bush team and is Pro Life. He enjoys around 100% ratings from conservative fiscal and economic groups.

The fight against Straus is from the Tea Party and the Religious Right which are the same here in Texas and the rest of the South. You Betcha!

There are three issues why Evangelical Christians hate Joe Straus so very very much.

1) Though he is Pro Life he wavers on the incest and rape issues.

2) He has not come on board strongly enough on Voter ID to intimidate Hispanic voters.

3) HE IS A JEW!

This last one was not mentioned at all in The Citizen article though it is given a bit of space in the Houston Chronicle and other more serious publications.  E-mails targeting Texas House Speaker Joe Straus cite his Judaism, rivals’ Christianity

Here in Dumbutt, you can’t much blame a small local publication like The Citizen for not mentioning it. For this is one of those things – as are accusations of racism – that media outlets had best leave alone if they want to stay in business.

We have a local wingnut who has beens quite prolific in his letters to the editor over the years. Though he has been absent since that Black President entered the White House – I imagine because it caused him to shake so much he could not hold a pen or work a keyboard – this recent White Wave Election of 2010 has brought John Bessant out from under his rock! Praise the Lord and Pass the Bigotry.

Letter: Hyphenated Americans by John Bessant

I’ve had it with hyphenated Americans. Black-Americans.
Hispanic-Americans. Senior-Americans.
Fill_in_the_Blank-Americans.

You can guess where that goes hey? It has been his central theme for many many years, but he is not a racist! For if you were not aware, there are no racists in Texas – of anywhere South of the Mason Dixon – well other than African Americans anyway.
