Texas Whataburger says no to guns

Texas Whataburger no to guns

If you see anyone other than the police or uniformed gaurds carrying and is not hunting call 911 for that person is looking for trouble.

The NRA and gun enthusiasts are boycotting Starbucks, Jack in the Box, Chipotle, Sonic, Chili’s, Target and many others who don’t want armed nitwits milling about in their businesses, but it is Texas owned and operated Whataburger that is now catching the most heat from these gun enthusiasts.

Down here in Dumbutt, Texas we have Whataburgers everywhere, I have one right around the corner. They are better than most fast food burger stops in that they make your food to order and deliver it with a condiment tray politely to your table when ready.

“Whataburger supports customers’ Second Amendment rights but we haven’t allowed the open carry of firearms in our restaurants for a long time (although we have not prohibited licensed conceal carry), it’s a business decision we made a long time ago and have stood by. We have to think about how open carry impacts our 34,000+ employees and millions of customers. We serve customers from all walks of life at more than 780 locations, 24 hours a day, in 10 states and we’re known for a family friendly atmosphere that customers have come to expect from us. We’ve had many customers and employees tell us they’re uncomfortable being around someone with a visible firearm who is not a member of law enforcement, and as a business, we have to listen and value that feedback.” CEO and President Preston Atkinson he said.

Now isn’t that about the most reasonable thing you ever read?
Gun enthusiasts are literally going crazy over it and so angry and upset their teeth bleed.
And we want such people in a restaurant or store we are in with your children?
Come on…

Chattanooga, Charlotte, Sandy Hook with a lot more to come. We reap what we sew because of our political, media and physical fear of this small minority of losers with their guns at the ready looking for trouble.
