It does seem to be the end of the Republican Party as we know it, Mitch McDonnell says Trump will not be the nominee no matter what, there may be a brokered convention, Mitt Romney is sticking his nose into things and there is talk of the establishment using the already vetted Constitution Party to run a third party candidate.
The blame? Ronald Reagan who told us to hate the United States government and Jerry Falwell who politiziced Christians under the banner of a big intrusive government to force women into having children they do not want. The result was populist even back then what with Reagan Democrats. And as Reagan left office after eight years of it, Rush Limbaugh and talk radio carried the hatchet until Fox News came another eight year latter to seal the deal. It is now to the point where it’s a hard call whether The Stupid beats The Ugliness of the GOP.
