What would the miracles of Jesus have been like if he dispensed them with the same criteria as the current healthcare bill?
The Jesus we know didn’t consider his miracles – to be ‘entitlements,’ his cures were free – with no questions asked, or pay expected. Two thousand years later, we revisit Jesus who has bought into the Republican ‘healthcare bill,’ and frankly he has changed. I think you’ll agree, he hasn’t changed for the better. He still encourages the faithful to think of the reward…No, not heaven – those sweet, sweet tax breaks!
GOP Senators who thought they would relax and enjoy the July 4th recess – maybe judging apple pie baking contests, found themselves clashing and/or dodging constituents. Ted Cruz talked over protesters carrying signs saying ‘Healthcare is a human right’ and ‘Cruzin’ for a Bruzin’ in 2018.’ Cruz was not alone, as similar scenes took place across the country.
Other Republicans who claim that they don’t know how Americans feel about healthcare took to Facebook asking users to share “horror stories” about Obamacare, with questions such as:”Have your premiums increased?” and “Are burdensome regulations hurting your small business?”
The post received more than 7,000 comments – the vast majority supported Obamacare.
“Instead of paying for birth control, I got it for free,” wrote one user.
“My patients’ families no longer have to fear medical bankruptcy, and my patients no longer face a lifetime of insurance discrimination for conditions they were born with,” said a pediatrician.
