This centers on one of the three areas in the Republican propaganda trifecta.
First and foremost is the over used, Evil Socialism, followed by all those Evil Others we must fear and arm ourselves against, and this one, the Evil Bureaucracy. All taken together they work very well on the dull of knife – or what is now called the Republican Base – who are presently waving birth certificates around and hoping to have tea with Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber.
There are a few BOTTOM LINES in this issue of Republicans, to a man, wanting to destroy not only any change in our profit driven system, but to destroy Barack Obama as well.
The first we just covered, Republicans using fear and confusion to get the American people to go against their own self interest so these Republicans can keep their health care lobby money and not upset their Tea Party Wingnuts back home – who could very well vote for someone even more of a right-wing nutjob than they are. Of course this is also the Republican ideology that states what’s best for the very rich is what’s best for everyone else. That is a singularly AMERICAN cultural view. It seems to be somehow related to everyone also believing they are going to Heaven, literally, clouds golden harps old white men with long beards.
The second issue I pulled from a recent NEWSWEEK article written by Senator Ted Kennedy who seems to not have much time left.
"Every American should be able to get and same treatment that U.S. Senators are entitled too." Ted Kennedy
There lies the moral imperative at the core of this issue. Either you believe that to be true or you are immoral – either born that way or made so by talk radio. Dishing out life and death in regards to income is FAR more immoral than a few gay or lesbians getting married. In fact it is so over the line it settles into the realm of evil.
And thirdly is what should be typed, printed, shouted, pasted and tweeted at every Republican every single time they use the fear of THE EVIL GOVERNMENT deciding your health care crap:
Who should decide on your health? A non profit government based system or profit driven Republican millionaires?
A middle class wise Latino Woman – who brings her lunch to work in a brown paper bag – and works for the government will make better decisions on YOUR health care than will a Republican funded billionaire CEO eating caviar from gold trimmed plates in his corporate jet who only cares about the profit he generates to his board of directors and stock holders. Which is all fine and well for iPops, Pez, and promography, but the health of your children and your parents? That CEO’s job, who is in charge of your all health care decisions, is only to increase profit which he accomplishes by removing the sick from coverage, reducing the coverage on everyone else while increasing the cost of the plans and the co pays.
If you actually believe the issues of health, life and death are best left to billionaires with only quarterly profit margins in their queue, then you were either born immoral, or were made that way by talk radio.
