A full ten minutes of Emperor Caligula sentencing Richard Burton and Jean Simmons to death channeling President Donald political rallies to the masses.
I kept wondering how long before Trump wants to turn in his long red tie for a long red flowing robe.
And what an ending! Burton and Simmons walk to their execution holding hands and smiling as the background changes from Caligula’s court to blue skies and then Heaven.
By the way the actor playing Caligula was Jay Robinson. Unforgettable.
