Kamau makes an attempt to put his bias aside and talk to the patrons of his local gun club, to see why gun ownership appeals to so many people. Kamau is surprised to find an astonishingly wide demographic at the New Jersey shooting range! Visibly jumping each time a shot is fired, he soon finds that it’s not just white guys sporting flannel and camo who love guns.
Kamau even learns about ‘gundar’ and meets a ‘black redneck’ and a fashion designer who feels guns are sexy – in an unsettling kind of way. Maybe he selected the wrong time to be fair and balanced?
