Trump and Puerto Rico Inspires Simon and Garfunkel Song Parody

The moving way in which Trump eventually reached out to bring aid and cheer to the people of Puerto Rico inspired this song“Bridge Thrown in Troubled Water.”Presumably someone explained that Puerto Rico is not a foreign vacation spot to which we owe no assistance, hence Donald rushed to offer comfort after two weeks of putting up with haranguing from ‘nasty women.’ Not only that, he and Fashion Melly wore white after Labor Day!  I can’t help but be impressed, despite the fashion infraction. Both Trumps suited up in pristine white pants and shirts to play Towel Toss. Aside from the immorality of Trump’s avoidance of any first-hand tragedy, I’m agog at the pair’s confidence. I probably didn’t wear white at my wedding.Wearing white is an invitation to look like a Jackson Pollock painting by noon – with no hurricane in sight. The presidential pair remained crisp and unsullied all the day long.

“You should be proud, more people haven’t died and he’ll forgive your debt…no he won’t, yes he will, no he won’t. Like a brick thrown in troubled water he will throw you towels. Like a brick thrown in troubled water, he’ll throw paper towels! “

You’ll recognize the melody of course, from Simon and Garfunkel’s ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water.’ Credit to the parody lyrics goes to Roy Zimmerman and Melanie Harby
