Video – Seth Meyer’s takes ‘a closer look’ at Donald Trump’s recent success at deflecting questions about his foreign business ties and conflicts of interest by picking a fight with the Broadway musical ‘Hamilton.’
Oddly, the alleged wronged party Mike Pence, took no offense. He’s been booed much more robustly, and by bigger crowds. Nor did Pence take offense at the brief, hopeful message read to him by a cast member of ‘Hamilton.’ Pence appeared to be puzzled when Trump – always a sticker for decorum, blasted the musical, demanding an ‘APOLOGY!”
Once the ‘Hamilton’ matter is settled, Seth assures us that Trump will fire off a tweet to settle the ISIS problem.
The faithful launched a ‘Boycott Hamilton’ movement…That’ll show ’em! “Hamilton”- despite what Trump has ‘heard’ about how lousy it is, has sold out through August 17th. Seth quipped; “Hamilton is boycotting YOU. You should waste your time boycotting other things that are impossible to get into – like Harvard, or Queen Elizabeth’s pants.”
I might add, that if Trump does address ISIS on Twitter, it will only be to distract the media from some unimaginable action on his part. The catnip of stupid tweets has diverted attention from everything from the popular greeting ‘heil Trump’ to presidency-by family, which he’s pioneering. It pains me to say how smart Trump’s ‘stupid’ has been.
