John Stossel appeared on Fox News today in an attempt to slam the country into reverse until it reaches the good ol’ days of segregation. Both Stossel and Rand Paul paint a scenario in
which we live in a world where blond anchor men and women wearing mustaches must be hired in the private sector, based on the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Paul claims to loathe discrimination, and feels he is simply misunderstood! You see, the historic 1964 Civil Rights Act was meant to apply only to publically funded jobs and services, never to dictate to private employers or services. This seems to be the theme Stossel has embraced. Can this possibly make sense to Little Libertarian, Stossel, or anyone who remembers a ‘whites only’ sign on a restaurant or bathroom?
