Video: Maddow, Through Fracking Cheney poisons thousands via Bush EPA loophole

I didn’t hit the wrong keys, Fracking is the practice which was revealed in the HBO special "Gasland." If you missed it, desperate farmers and other land-owners in West Virginia and Pennsylvania have already succumbed to Halliburton’s monetary offer to utilize the mineral rights on their land.

What the unfortunate land owners didn’t know was that their land and wells would be impacted by a completely unregulated method of extracting natural gas from shale rock using poisonous chemicals which leach into the aquifer. Residents are shown lighting their tap water on fire, the human cost of leaching poison into wells is incalculable. This is just one more criminal act by Dick Cheney, whose loophole is unique. It is the only one of its kind, with no oversight by the E.P.A., none of the nearly 600 poisonous chemicals need be disclosed despite
the human cost in fatal illness.

Rachel Maddow talks with actor Mark Ruffalow who has become an activist about the impact of this criminal act as it approaches his home in upstate New York. He hopes to make more people aware of the wide-spread damage, and to repeal the ‘Halliburton Loophole’ before more people are impacted irrevocably.

A bit of research we found that the Gas companies pay an average of $2000 up front bonus and 12% royalty fees. Think about that if you are a dairy farmer with the average 40 acres. They knock on your door with a check for $80,000 and enough yearly income to pay your debt off, pay your mortgage off, buy new equipment and enough gas masks to go around. And these people out in the boonies are where the states are reddest, where climate change is a lie and environmentalists are commies.
