Video Olbermann Worst Person: Sens. Jim Bunning KY R, Tom Coburn Okla R, Rush Limbaugh, Erick Erickson

Gold: The award is shared by worthies Sens Jim Bunning of Ky, and Tom Coburn Okla, both Republicans. You would have surmised as much upon learning how in their perceived duty to keep any vestiges of health care reform from their states, they also sought to block the
extension of unemployment benefits. There was another rather significant and epic fail for their constituents, who are largely treading water as I write this, with no flood insurance thanks to the dynamic duds. I presume said constituents are begging for no more "favors." Bunning and Coburn may see a canoe fleet dispatched and full of voters against them, when the elections next come

Silver: Rush Limbaugh. In a first, President Obama today made mild reference to the right wing extremist hate talk machine, and mentioned Limbaugh and Glenn Beck by name. The President mildly commented about those who had called him a Nazi, along with signs altered to give the appearance. Ever sensitive Limbaugh denies Nazi reference. Why not, speaking to a sea of Obama photos with Hitler mustaches drawn in, he sought assurance and dug himself ever deeper with "Socialist, Stalinist, and Marxist" comments, none of which were delivered in a tone which inspires peace, love, understanding, or shift from the continued hyperbolic hate talk in which he’s being counted as a leader.

Bronze: Erick Erickson, The name so nice you have to say it twice! Erickson inexplicably moved from his job as a Red State blogger, when he was hired by CNN. Much like Michele Bachmann, Erickson sounded the lunatic gong, making wild threats and using faulty reasoning for not filling out the additional page of the census, implying violence – if his wife will loan him the means. This is but the tip of the iceberg regarding Erickson’s wild comments on CNN, and much needed lesson for CNN, and The John Cane Show to do more careful vetting!
