This week that message has been heard loud and clear by every judge in America. They now know that if they want to keep their jobs they had best vote against giving equal right to gays and pregnant women. It’s a big blinking sign screaming you had best do what Christian Evangelical Republicans tell you to do or else. INTEGRATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.
This story of course is not getting much press, after all, it concerns our greatest historical asset, our "American Exceptionalism" of being ordained by God to spread intolerance and ignorance from sea to shinning sea [though mostly just between our salty parts]. Because both the politicians and the media know damn well that to decry our brand of crapcan American Christianity they will either be voted out of office or lose share to FOX NEWS.
I believe this may be the most important issue I have come across in my lifetime. A sea change in the way we perceive not only our nation but the basic intent of our constitution. Handing over the Judicial branch of government to the mob. Happened in France which gave democracy the biggest black eye in history.
There were three branches of government, only one of which was suppose to be independent and above the game of money and politics. Of course that has not always been true – but it has been generally accepted until now. We are allowing voters, manipulated by Evangelical Christian money and propaganda, to recall the judiciary by state initiatives. It is batcrap crazy.
Again, the central problem in this country from day ONE has been called "American Exceptionalism". It means we have been ordained by God as the CHOSEN people of Jesus Christ, as superior to the rest of the world which gives us the RIGHT to do whatever we wish to whomever wish for whatever reasons we wish, including gay Americans. To progress we have to break the back of that crap. To make God, religion and faith a PART of us rather than ALL of us.
