Video: Take this job and…. Jet Blue flight attendant Steven Slater quits with dramatic exit

Who hasn’t wanted to quit a job in a blaze of blue language and in a manner that no one could forget? Most of us fight the urge, but twenty year veteran flight attendant Steven
Slater
who loved his dream job at Jet Blue simply had one too many irate, abusive passengers, coupled with a whopping goose egg on his head from that passenger’s overhead baggage. The rest is the stuff of legends, seen here on video – in part, with the help of animation.

Slater quickly and irrevocably left one life behind and at last notice, he’s sparked a growing cult following while he sits it out on Rikers Island facing charges of criminal mischief and reckless endangerment. It strikes me that this is a man bites dog story, it would take quite a few Slaters for the attendants to catch up to the numbers of irate and out of control passengers. Slater did it with a bit of style considering the circumstances. Comedian Christian Finnegan joins Keith Olbermann to discuss the strange case and Steven Slater’s potential future.
