This is my dog Easy, who looks, acts, thinks and even talks like the movie "UP" version.
Easy is a 4 year old 110 pound Golden Retriever who has yet to growl at any living thing, well, he does bark at… SQUIRRELS! Which protecting the family from is the very basis of his existence. Our cable lines in the back yard are a squirrel highway. It is a never ending process.
With the onset of nightfall Easy finds that the squirrels often turn into much larger pink nosed sharp toothed critters who use the fence rather than the wire. He finds these slow moving "Night Squirrels" need no barking or growling to keep under his control. Just laying down below the fence and staring at them causes them to freeze and magically hold their position until it’s time for Easy to come in for his marshmallow reward.
Burglars beware! Easy will bring you a ball and if that is not enough to win you over, a shoe. He has also failed at keeping our garbage safe from thieves in big noisy and very scary trucks.
This clip from the movie will always have a special place in my heart. For quite often when having a conversation with Easy, he suddenly loses track of the subject at hand for the very same reason.
