What ‘If Atheists Acted Religious’ And The Religious Were the Minority? by Dark Matter

What If Atheists Acted Religious and religious people were the marginalized minority by Dark Matter

Here’s another point of view from ‘Dark Matter’ a frequent proponent of the Atheist point of view. Sometimes it’s worthwhile to look at something upside down and turned inside-out…So imagine that the majority of people are Atheists and people of all religions were a marginalized minority.

My favorite example is pictured as the Atheist ‘missionaries’ knocking on stranger’s doors with the ‘good news,’ much in the same way we are often wakened early on Saturday mornings. Of course the very idea of Atheists proselytizing on your doorstep  is absurd. Perhaps it is equally absurd for the lucky 140,000 to wake us up to leave their pamphlets, or invite us to round out their congregation?

In truth, Atheists do not consider themselves to be a religion or an ‘anti-religion.’ They do not proselytize. Why then are these people so often feared and even hated – largely in conservative media.
I say this with the knowledge that they have yet to be singled out for a false IRS audit. If their lack of a tax-exempt status doesn’t prove a profound lack of organization or a desire to gather a flock and rule the world, nothing can.

“Dark Matter” comments: I doubt many religious people could stomach a taste of their own medicine. I’ve known people who got fired when it was discovered that they were an atheist. Atheists are one of the last groups that it is still okay to discriminate against (not only okay, but encouraged). A major reason for this is because religion cannot hold up to our criticisms; therefore, censoring us becomes the only viable solution. The truth offends.
