‘President’ Trump lives a sound-proof, gilt-encrusted cocoon, where it’s impossible to see or hear anything negative about himself. In fact, his future’s so bright he’s got to wear rose-colored shades. Yes, he’s dangerously delusional, and he wants to be loved, worshiped and obeyed by everyone! Anyone who doesn’t adore him is a LOSER and will be dealt with harshly because that’s what a ‘Dear Leader’ does to maintain the sincere affection of his people.
Those who would say something negative – read truthful, aren’t on Fox News, nor are they on the payroll, charged with censoring what can go into the cocoon. Trump cannot hear his history-making disapproval rating in his cocoon where he plugs his ears and yells ‘lalalalallalala.’ Trump can’t know that steps are being taken to remove him from the White House, and if Melania’s smart she’s changing the locks at the Tower. All of this while he campaigns for 2020! By now, you see that the leaks everyone is screaming about, aren’t so much about leaking information out, so much as they’re about letting it into the cocoon.
There is no reality in Trump’s private abode, because reality is the antidote for DENIAL, the glue that holds the cocoon together. Olbermann’s statement about denial is chilling in light of all that we’re discovering about the Trump administration; “Denial is key for authoritarian leaders. They begin by shutting out dissenting voices, and they end by shutting DOWN dissenting voices.”
