Wisconsin: Scott Walker Sign Too Big?

100,000 thousand people rallied on a cold Wisconsin Saturday to honor the "Wisconsin 14", the Democrats who did their best to stop the Republican Party’s War on Teachers, fireman, janitors, DPS workers and so on. State Republicans are talking now talking about recalls, fines and jail for the socialist bastards. "Go ahead, make my day."

You know that is the same number of people showed up at Glenn Beck’s nationally marketed  White People’s Rally on a warm beautiful day in August at the Lincoln Memorial – Fox News estimate of 500,000 and Michelle Bachmann’s estimate of 6 million not withstanding. Believe either at your own peril.

On the surface it seems the Republican War on Teachers and Education and Students would not be the best idea for the coming 2012 election. Making heroes of billionaire Right-wing nasties like the Koch Brothers while not only demonizing teachers and middle class state workers, but reducing their pay and benefits.

So what’s an up and coming student to do other than above all NOT BECOME A TEACHER. Not only will they make far less money, less benefits, but demeaned and demonized by Republicans across the nation.

Well there it is! No more teachers, no more Public Education. Which Republicans have been trying to destroy for a hundred years. To be replaced by religious and free market indoctrination centers for those white people who can afford it.

Could it backfire for the GOP?

I am not so sure. Just read this week that the city of Miami is about to successfully recall the Mayor there. Not for drug connections, payola, bribes, or some immoral dalliances, but because a billionaire has rallied the voters to his side because the SOB raised property taxes to pay for education.
